About Us

What We Do

We empower formerly incarcerated people to build productive lives through accredited career training, life skills coaching, mentorship, volunteerism, and gainful employment opportunities.

Our Mission

Improve the communities we serve by reducing recidivism while identifying the needs of those who were formerly incarcerated. Providing moral support, job training, and placement.

Our Vision

Our vision is to change the Reentry process by providing tools for personal development and career readiness with successful accredited strategies to secure employment one participant at a time.

Meet Our Founder,

Mrs. Sharon Jones

My parents were from Mississippi, but moved to Queens, New York for better opportunities; where I was born and raised.  Domestic violence during the marriage which eventually led to divorce. This tragedy eventually impacted our family. Experiencing the judicial system firsthand, as my brothers cycled in and out of the prison system. Our family including my brother had high hopes that he would be able to exit the prison system and make positive changes. However, due to his criminal background and no available resources prison became a revolving door.

This journey inspired me to launch Paroled2Pride in 2007. The mission is to assist non-violent felons with transitioning back to society, families, and communities through job training, placement, restitution, and probation fees.

Paroled2Pride performs assessments for each participant, upon entry of the program.  The training curriculum is programmed by the American Hotel Educational Lodging Institute, which is the certifying body for the hospitality industry  Each participant is required to volunteer through the partnerships. This allows participants to give back to their communities, and build self-esteem, and commitment to the community.  Training in a professional environment exposes me to corporate America and teaches how to gain confidence while thriving in a corporate environment.  Participants were trained how to receive and apply constructive criticism and practice problem-solving in critical situations.  Assessments are performed to identify a reachable career path that they are passionate about all while teaching faith and purpose.

Our team vision is to end the judicial system cycle and its effect on at-risk communities. Paroled2Pride provides a community and resources to non-violent offenders to encourage positive choices and build productive leaders in our society.
