Paroled2Pride, S.I.L.O. Inc. and Saving Grace Mission Host Back to School Voter Registration Bash!

This event took place on August 8, 2020 in Columbus, Mississippi.

Three powerful women-lead nonprofit organizations in Mississippi have banded together to kick off the 2020 school year with free supplies and awesome giveaways.

Paroled2Pride assists released offenders in starting a new life through employment. Our organization bridges the gap between corporate America, the judicial system, and non-violent offenders by using an accredited job training curriculum geared towards successfully transitioning back to their families, communities, and society. Saving Grace Mission reaches out to the community in need of clothing and receiving donations to accommodate the needs of the less fortunate, with God's Grace and love. S.I.L.O. Inc. provides support for non-violent inmates and their loved ones. S.I.L.O. Inc. focuses on tailoring re-entry plans to individual offenders to enable them to become productive and law-abiding citizens.

Their efforts didn't stop at distributing free school supplies! The event also focused on getting new voters registered while educating community members on the importance of exercising their right to vote. The trio event hosted a giveaway as incentive to encourage attendees to get registered.

This event was sponsored by AAOHA Gulf Region, Sonic Drive-In on HWY 45 North, City of Artesia, Contact Helpline, and Katrina Summerville. Your generosity has helped us to educate and assist our community while creating positive change and raising awareness.

Whether you showed up, sponsored, volunteered, or referred a friend: THANK YOU for a successful event! We were able to give away much needed school supplies while getting new voters registered and feeding local families. Mississippi, YOU ROCK and we’re always excited to give back in the safest ways possible.
